MURF, BILL, WHAT HAPPENED???
YOU ARE VISITOR NUMBER
SINCE 6/18/01 TO VIEW THE PICTURES
Well, as far as I can piece
it together, here's what happened...
After an evening of heavy drinking,
we noticed that our Mayor and Dept. of Disgusting have dissappeared. But
we though nothing of it as this only meant that there was more beer left
for us. So on we drank. When all of a sudden, the phone rings, and in his
slurred, broken syllable, language the mayor utters, "We're at these nice
peoples house, and Murf got hypothermia and drove the car into the lake."
So what are we to do but round up the troops and go on a rescue mission
to same the Mayor and a valuable Department from becoming extinct.
As we drove close to Beach 3,
the scene of the mishap, we could see the Mayor, drenched in his clothes
stumbling at the side of the road. We quickly saw that he was OK and continued
on to beach 3. What a site it was, from the road we could only see the
roof of the car, just past the Security truck. John the guard must have
pissed himself when he saw what happened ( although he didn't show it when
we got there ). So my only concern at this point is to run back to the
hose and get the camera. Fortunately, Mike agreed and we can bring this
news report to all of you in vivid color photos.
When we returned to the scene,
the pictures speak for themselves (pictures)..
OK, so here's what Murf and
Bill claim happened:
-
Murf and Bill leave Mike's house.
-
Murf pulls up to the lake at beach
3.
-
Murf forgets to put car in Park.
-
Bill notices feet getting wet.
-
Murf notices same condition.
-
Bill and Murf look at each other
and panic.
-
The doors are opened and water rushes
in.
-
Car is put into Park.
-
As Murf gets out of car, he drops
his keys into the Lake.
-
Bill attempts to push car our with
Murf - no success.
-
Bill runs to his house to call for
help.
-
Murf stays in car (in ice cold water)
to keep warm.
-
Bill reaches house and doesn't have
key to get in.
-
Bill runs back to car.
-
Murf goes into hypothermia.
-
Bill and Murf start towards Mike's
house.
-
Down the road they find the nice
people's house.
-
Bill calls for help.
-
Murf is warmed back to 98.6 degrees.
Once we returned, the keys
were in the dark water, and the car was in park. Security was nice enough
to provide chain and horsepower to pull car out of the water. Three cheers
for security guard John. I will write in to "Smoke Signals" (Arrowhead's
publication) praising him..... nah, I don't think the entire community
needs to know.
